Who We Are

Tilda Norberg is a United Methodist minister, a Gestalt Pastoral Care minister, and the founder of Gestalt Pastoral Care. For the last 31 years, she has led many spiritual growth retreats and training workshops, in addition to her private practice.
She is the co-author, with Robert Webber, of Stretch Out Your Hand: Exploring Healing Prayer, published by United Church Press (the Spanish version, Extiende tu Mano, released in August 2007), and the author of Threadbear: A Story of Christian Healing for Adult Survivors of Sexual Abuse, published by Penn House Press. In 2003 she wrote Ashes Transformed: Healing From Trauma, published by Upper Room Press.
Tilda's newest book, Gathered Together: Creating Personal liturgies for Healing and Transformation is now available through Upper Room Books. This excellent resource joins stories, psychological insight, theological reflection and practices of healing prayer. It can be helpful for creating healing liturgies within the context of a variety of worship settings.
Her book Consenting to Grace: An Introduction to Gestalt Pastoral Care was published in 2006, and is the basic text for our training groups. She is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary in Manhattan (1966) and is a certified Lomi Body Worker. Email:

Sara Goold has been enchanted by Gestalt modalities since 1971. She has a lifelong commitment to interfaith community and her Christian faith has been nourished by Buddhist wisdom and Jewish mysticism. Sara is an ordained United Methodist minister and a licensed psychotherapist in practice since 1986 in Manhattan, Long Island, and Westport, CT.
She was a faculty member of the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training in Manhattan and regularly leads retreats, supervision groups, and workshops. Sara has taught advanced Gestalt Pastoral Care and has worked with Tilda Norberg in leading Gestalt Pastoral Care training. Wanda Craner is an ordained United Church of Christ minister and spiritual director. In addition to her Gestalt Pastoral Care practice, she serves as the Minister of Spiritual Nurture of the PA Southeast Conference of the United Church Christ since 1997. As Minister of Spiritual Nurture, much of her pastoral care work is focused on clergy and students in seminary. Wanda has over 20 years experience leading workshops, seminars, worship services, and retreats in the areas of healing, prayer and spirituality in a variety of ecumenical church communities.
She is the author of the retreat, "To Touch the Hem of Jesus' Garment: A Time Apart for Healing and Spiritual Nurture." Wanda graduated from Millersville University with a degree in Biology (1975). She received a Masters of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary (1986); and completed Clinical Pastoral Education at Lancaster General Hospital (1986). Rhoda Glick has served as a Gestalt Pastoral Care minister and workshop leader in Pennsylvania, New Mexico and Virginia since the '80s. Rhoda has been involved in ministry in the Mennonite Church, as well as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She holds an M.Div. from Eastern Mennonite Seminary, an M.Ed. from Temple University and did graduate work in Clinical Psychology at Millersville University. In 2008 Rhoda received her D.Min. from Lancaster Theological Seminary. Her dissertation "A Psychospiritual Model for Pastoral Care: Toward a Synthesis of Gestalt Pastoral Care and St. John of the Cross' Dark Night of the Soul" will serve as a resource for GPC trainees and practitioners.
She taught in public schools for over a decade. In addition, she founded and directed a wellness center in New Holland, Pennsylvania. Rhoda has assisted Tilda Norberg in Gestalt Pastoral Care trainings in Harrisonburg, VA and Staten Island, NY. She also teaches the GPC Basic Training Course with Wanda Craner at Alburtis, PA. Anne Cormier is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ and a licensed social worker. Anne has enjoyed private pastoral care ministry since 1998, and has over ten years experience facilitating support groups and workshops in the areas of bereavement, caregiver support, divorce care, parenting, and families of wartime military. She has a special interest in the healing of trauma and leads retreats and classes on healing prayer.
Anne has over ten years of clinical experience in health care settings, and developed and directed a hospital-based community wellness program for mature adults. In 1984 Anne completed her Bachelors of Science degree at Penn State University in Individual and Family Studies, with an emphasis in adolescent and childhood development. She received her Masters of Social Work from Marywood College (1991), and her Masters of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary (1998). Email: anne@gestaltpastoralcare.com
